This ashram is under the jurisdiction of the Generalate. It was here that the Congregation was founded in 1931. The first four candidates in the Congregation began their formation and apostolate here. This Ashram was built in the land donated by Sri Ittira Gervasis Kulangara by three Register Deeds in 1910,1911 and 1915. Devotion to St. Therese of Lisieux was started here in the Orphanage in 1925 itself , the very  year she was canonized. Till 1997, this Ashram also functioned as the Generalate of the Congregation. Brothers who serve in various institutions of the Congregation at Mookkannur reside here. Brothers who have served many years in the various apostolic activities in various ashrams and institutions and are taking rest are accommodated and taken care of in this ashram. It was not long since this ashram was reconstructed retaining the parts of old Ashram.
