Rehabilitation and future life of the inmates of the Orphanage after they have finished schooling became a real concern of the Brothers in the Congregation. As a solution to this, Balanagar Industrial Training Institute, a institute to give technical skill training to the youth from the orphanage as well as to the youth from Mookkannur and surrounding villages, irrespective of caste, creed and gender, so as to enable them to find a job to earn their bread. This institute was started in 1977. The institute gives training in various trades viz; Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Welder, Draughtsman Civil, Electronic Mechanic, Mechanic Diesel, Electrician,Electronics, Fitter. Not only girls and boys from Mookkannur and surrounding places but youths from far away places too come to this institute for training. The Institute conducts one-year and two-year courses in many batches in various trades.
